/ˈɛlɪm(ə)nt/noun: element; plural noun: elements; an essential or characteristic part of something abstract.
This is a project I have been working on for a long time now. See, I am a nerd when it comes to football. I love everything from the game on the pitch to the work that goes on behind the scenes at football clubs, how football journalists work, how the transfer market works, eye-catching stories and histories about different players and managers.
Therefore I have started Football Elements. A website where I and others will talk about any elements affiliated with football. There will be tactical analyses, scouting profiles, interviews with journalists about their work, business-, organizational- and financial analyses, interviews with agents and the ambition is to also interview people working at clubs to give an insight as to how clubs are run and how they operate. Some ideas that come to mind are to dissect business models that have revolutionized the world of football, interview commercial directors on how you work on sponsorship deals, data analysts to concretize how digital-analysis has changed football, sporting directors on how recruitment works and interviewing a journalist/s on what a day looks like during the transfer window.
The content on Football Elements will not be tied to any club, league, geographic or gender. Football is a game that forms a foundation that brings the world together. Regardless of who you are or where you are from. That is an initiative I strive to forward and contribute to.
The goal is to produce a few articles per week, to begin with, and successively increase the number of articles being put out per week.
That may not sound like a lot, but I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. I will run this site like I would want a site to be run if I was the reader; quality, in-depth articles that bring you interesting perspectives that you had not thought about earlier, or content that educate you so that you learn about the beautiful game.
I am so excited to start this journey and share what I, and other writers, have been working on. Running a football website is an ambition and dream I’ve had for many years, and now I have the time, experience, knowledge and platform to start.
I humbly thank you for reading this introduction, and I hope that you will follow me on this journey and that you will enjoy the content Football Elements will put out into the world.
Sincerely,
Maxi Angelo
